About this asset

This industrial exposed service ceiling SketchUp model features detailed ducting, pipework, and illuminated neon signage. The assembly provides a realistic representation of an industrial exposed ceiling system, commonly found in modern commercial and retail spaces. It includes a structured network of dark metal service conduits, ventilation ducts, and rectangular HVAC diffusers mounted against a white ceiling plane. The primary visual feature is the integrated neon-style signage with text elements, adding a functional yet aesthetic layer to the technical design. The geometry is clean and logically organised, capturing the raw, utilitarian aesthetic of exposed building services while maintaining a high level of detail for interior visualisations.

The download is a 963 KB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Professionals can integrate this component into SketchUp projects by importing the file as a group or component. It is designed to be positioned at the top of a room volume, where it can be scaled or tiled to fit specific floor plate dimensions. Users should ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer for easy visibility toggling. Material mapping for the metallic conduits and emissive settings for the neon text can be adjusted within native render engines to achieve desired lighting effects.

Ideal for retail environments, cafes, and creative office interiors, this ceiling assembly is a staple for designers aiming for a contemporary industrial look. It pairs effectively with polished concrete flooring and brick wall textures, creating a cohesive aesthetic for loft-style commercial projects. Search for this asset when developing technical interior schemes that require exposed mechanical systems, or when looking to add character to high-ceiling hospitality spaces where the ceiling plane is a primary design feature and needs to be visually engaging.
