About this asset

This industrial exposed ceiling in SketchUp features a red steel grid with integrated ductwork, lighting, and MEP services. Designed for industrial-style interiors, this ceiling assembly showcases an exposed structural grid finished in a bold red, supporting a complex network of grey metal HVAC ducting and conduits. The arrangement includes integrated track lighting and various recessed or suspended fixtures, providing a raw, technical aesthetic suitable for open-plan spaces. The geometry is clean and modular, allowing for clear visualization of building services. It captures the utilitarian look of exposed infrastructure, with distinct colour contrast between the primary structural beams and the functional mechanical systems that run beneath them.

The download is a 19.6 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

This SketchUp model is organised into logical groups, allowing for easy placement and alignment with project floor plans. Users should utilise the component structure to toggle visibility of individual MEP elements or to adjust the grid spacing to fit specific room dimensions. Materials are applied as standard SketchUp textures, making them straightforward to map or replace with custom finishes. When integrating into a larger scene, ensure the model is positioned at the correct ceiling height to maintain accurate spatial proportions.

Ideal for commercial offices, retail showrooms, and loft-style residential projects, this asset provides a realistic backdrop for designs requiring an exposed, high-tech, or industrial aesthetic. It works well in early-stage concept modelling where the integration of MEP services is a key design feature. Professionals searching for 'exposed ceiling', 'industrial interior', or 'MEP coordination' will find this useful for adding technical depth and realism to their architectural visualisations and interior design presentations, particularly in spaces with high, open ceilings.
