About this asset

This industrial grid ceiling SketchUp model features a textured concrete structure with integrated perimeter lighting. This ceiling assembly presents an exposed structural grid composed of intersecting concrete-textured beams. The rough, mottled grey finish of the concrete provides a raw aesthetic, contrasted by a thin, dark metal frame that delineates the perimeter. Small, evenly spaced light sources are embedded along the outer frame, creating a clean, rhythmic pattern of illumination. The geometry is modular and orthogonal, suitable for large-scale interior applications where overhead mechanical systems or structural elements are intended to be visible. The model maintains a high level of detail in the beam intersections and light fittings.

The download is a 3.5 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this model functions as a single component or group. Users can easily scale the grid to match specific room dimensions or adjust the beam spacing to suit project requirements. It is best to place this element on a dedicated layer to manage visibility during the design process. If rendering, assign high-quality concrete materials and light-emitting properties to the perimeter fixtures to achieve realistic illumination effects, ensuring proper alignment with the room's primary structural axes for a coherent finish.

Ideal for industrial-style office lobbies, open-plan workspaces, or modern retail showrooms, this ceiling system adds texture and depth to exposed-soffit designs. It pairs well with polished concrete flooring, exposed brick walls, and black metal architectural accents. Professionals searching for raw, structural overhead features or warehouse-style interior finishes will find this asset useful for both concept design and final presentation phases. It serves as a strong focal point in spaces that celebrate architectural honesty and utilitarian aesthetics, providing a distinct, modern industrial character.
