Contemporary Gold and Stone Helical Staircase

This contemporary helical staircase for SketchUp features a striking gold metal stringer, stone treads, and a curved glass balustrade. Defined by its elegant helical geometry, this staircase serves as a primary architectural feature. The structural stringer is finished in a polished gold metal, providing a warm contrast to the off-white stone treads. A continuous, frameless glass balustrade follows the curve of the stair, ensuring visual lightness and safety. The design includes a consistent riser height and tread depth, reflecting a high-end, bespoke fabrication. The assembly is presented within an open-plan interior, demonstrating its capacity to act as a sculptural focal point in large-scale residential or commercial lobby spaces.

The download is a 19.9 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this staircase into a SketchUp project, import the component and align the base with the finished floor level. Use the scale tool cautiously to adjust the height, ensuring the riser-to-tread ratio remains compliant with local building codes. The model is structured into logical groups, allowing for easy material overrides or texture mapping on the metallic and stone surfaces. For rendering, apply reflective properties to the gold and glass materials to capture the surrounding interior lighting accurately.

Ideal for luxury residential projects, high-end retail showrooms, or boutique hotel lobbies, this staircase elevates transitional spaces. It pairs effectively with polished stone flooring and minimalist wall finishes. When searching for this asset, architects often look for terms such as sculptural staircase, curved feature stair, or gold-accented interior stairs. It is suitable for design development and presentation stages where a refined, contemporary aesthetic is required to demonstrate the vertical circulation strategy of the building interior.
