The undergraduate program was recognized by the Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC) via Decree Law N° 83208/79 on February 28, 1979. The Master's programs are approved by CAPES (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel).

Accredited by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority of Kenya (TVETA). It is a TVETA registered Public Technical and Vocational College (TVC).

The Architecture and Urbanism course was officially recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) through Decree Law n° 83208/79 on February 28, 1979. In 2015, the course received the maximum concept (5) from MEC, with a continuous Preliminary Course Concept (CPC) of 4.359, positioning it as the top federal university course in Brazil at that time.

Liceo Classico Goffredo Mameli is accredited as a state high school by the Italian Ministry of Education and Merit (Ministero dell'Istruzione e del Merito). It is a constituent part of the Istituto di Istruzione Superiore (I.I.S.) Tommaso Salvini.

The Department of Architecture's 5-year undergraduate program is accredited by the Korean Architectural Accrediting Board (KAAB), with the next visit scheduled for 2028. The Architectural Engineering program is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea (ABEEK).

USUAA is a federally funded public institution. It was granted 'Academy' status in 1995 by Russia's State Committee on Higher Education, with degrees equivalent to university degrees. It is also a member of CUMULUS, the International Association of Universities and Colleges of Art, Design and Media.

Wabash College is institutionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). It is also authorized by the State of Indiana as an 'approved postsecondary educational institution' (Indiana Code 21-7-13-6). Specific programs, such as Biochemistry, are accredited by the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Chemistry is approved by the American Chemical Society. Wabash is also a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA).

Courses and workshops offered at ICP are non-accredited. However, the International Center of Photography as an institution was conferred accreditation by the American Association of Museums in 1986. The ICP-Bard Program in Advanced Photographic Studies (MFA) is offered in collaboration with Bard College, which is an accredited institution.
