You look at a layout this quiet and realize every millimeter of slack had to be solved before a single piece of timber was cut, because there isn't a single trim piece anywhere to hide behind. The alignment from the exposed ceiling joists straight into the vertical mullions is so satisfying. Did you fix the structural module first and let the glazing follow, or were you juggling standard panel dimensions against the roof load calculations from day one? Really lovely work.

If the ground settles even two millimeters unevenly, that entire ceiling grid starts telegraphing the error to everyone who walks in. We had our foundation crew working to millwork tolerances on a pavilion in Nishio just so the timber wouldn't fight the glass later.

Spot on, and you just know they had to oversize those joists purely to kill live-load deflection—otherwise that mullion joint binds the second someone walks across the floor above.
