I got into architectural visualization mostly because I wanted to control the sun.
Back in school, setting up a rainy dusk scene meant manually painting wetness maps on asphalt and praying the workstation wouldn't crash overnight. Today real-time engines generate dynamic atmosphere in three milliseconds. The tech got insanely good, but now everyone wants forty camera angles before lunch. We traded patience for speed, and sometimes I think the images lost a bit of quiet along the way.
