About this asset

This high-fidelity PBR texture captures the authentic aesthetic of natural slate slabs set in a contrasting brown mortar. The surface displays the subtle, slightly worn texture of organic stone with a low-gloss, reflective finish that mimics real-world mineral properties. The irregular, multi-faceted geometry of the individual slabs creates a dynamic, non-repeating appearance across large surfaces. With a coverage area of 2.37 by 2.37 metres, the pattern is designed for true-to-scale application, ensuring that the grout lines and stone faces maintain consistent proportions in architectural visualisations and landscape design projects.

The download is a 57.8 MB compressed archive with the texture set at 2K with colour, normal, roughness, ambient occlusion and displacement maps, ready for any metal/roughness PBR workflow in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp, Unreal Engine or D5.

Professionals can integrate this texture into rendering workflows by applying the included albedo, ambient occlusion, displacement, and normal maps to a plane or mesh surface. The set provides both DirectX and OpenGL normal map variants for compatibility across various render engines. Users should adjust the displacement map intensity to achieve the desired depth of the mortar joints. The pre-configured material files for.blend and.gltf formats allow for immediate deployment in 3D scenes, ensuring accurate material behaviour without complex node setup.

Ideal for exterior landscape design, this stone paving texture is well-suited for garden paths, patios, and courtyard flooring in residential or hospitality projects. It pairs effectively with modern minimalist architecture to add organic contrast or with traditional rustic designs for a weathered, authentic feel. Architects and visualisers searching for 'natural stone paving', 'irregular slate flooring', or 'exterior site materials' will find this asset versatile for ground-plane detailing in site plans, masterplan renders, and high-detail close-up shots of outdoor living spaces.
