About this asset

This weathered brown timber plank flooring PBR texture set features deep grain and worn details, providing a realistic aged finish. This PBR material set captures the authentic character of aged timber planks, characterized by a deep, weathered brown tone and pronounced natural grain. The surface exhibits significant signs of wear, including uneven edges, fine cracks, and debris-filled gaps between individual boards. The texture provides a high level of visual depth, effectively simulating the tactile nature of historic wooden flooring. Included in the set are essential maps such as albedo, ambient occlusion, displacement, normal, and roughness, ensuring compatibility with standard rendering workflows to maintain physical accuracy across large surfaces.

The download is a 63 MB compressed archive with the texture set at 2K with colour, normal, roughness, ambient occlusion and displacement maps, ready for any metal/roughness PBR workflow in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp, Unreal Engine or D5.

Professional users can easily integrate this material into their projects by applying the provided maps to a base plane or floor geometry. The displacement and normal maps are particularly useful for achieving realistic depth in close-up renders, while the roughness map dictates the subtle light reflection characteristic of aged wood. For optimal results, ensure the UV mapping is set to a 3m by 3m scale to maintain the intended proportions and seamless tiling across interior or exterior floor layouts.

Ideal for rustic, industrial, or heritage-style interior designs, this flooring texture is well-suited for residential renovations, boutique hospitality projects, or weathered landscape decking. It pairs effectively with raw materials such as brick, concrete, and blackened steel to enhance a lived-in aesthetic. Architects and visualisers will find this asset valuable for creating authentic, high-detail environments where a sense of time and history is required, from historic building restorations to contemporary spaces seeking a natural, textured material foundation.
