Wave Pattern Glass Block Wall Material

This wave pattern glass block material for SketchUp features a distinct gradient transition from light to dark grey tones. The material presents a repeating grid of square glass blocks, each embossed with a subtle, fluid wave pattern. The aesthetic is defined by a vertical gradient effect, shifting from a lighter, translucent grey at the top to a deep, high-contrast black at the base. This transition suggests depth and variable light transmission, making it suitable for applications where privacy and light diffusion are required. The pattern is consistent across the surface, ensuring a seamless tiling experience when applied to larger architectural planes or feature walls in contemporary interior or exterior designs.

The download is a 297 KB compressed archive with the textures and a ready-made SketchUp (.skp) material library, so the maps arrive already assigned to materials you can drag onto your own geometry.

To implement this material in SketchUp, load the provided file directly into your material library. Apply the texture to a face or group, adjusting the scale within the material editor to ensure the block dimensions align with your architectural model's proportions. Because this is a patterned texture, ensure your UV mapping is set to projected if applying to complex curved surfaces. The seamless nature of the repeat allows for quick application across large partitions without visible seams or alignment issues.

This glass block material is ideal for modern interior design projects, particularly for creating privacy screens, feature walls, or bathroom partitions. Its gradient aesthetic works effectively in retail showrooms, high-end residential lobbies, or contemporary office spaces where light needs to be distributed without compromising visual separation. Designers often use such materials to introduce texture and light play into neutral environments.
