About this asset

This rustic brown timber plank PBR material set features authentic weathered wood grain and is provided with a full map suite. This PBR material set captures the raw, tactile quality of aged timber boards. The texture features a distinct horizontal plank arrangement, showcasing a coarse wood grain, subtle surface weathering, and natural knots that add visual depth. The colour palette is dominated by warm, natural brown tones with varied highlights and shadows that mimic untreated, exterior-grade timber. Proportions are designed to cover a one-metre square area, ensuring realism when applied to larger surfaces. The set includes essential maps like albedo, ambient occlusion, displacement, and multiple normal options to ensure high-fidelity rendering across various lighting conditions.

The download is a 64.5 MB compressed archive with the texture set at 2K with colour, normal, roughness, ambient occlusion and displacement maps, ready for any metal/roughness PBR workflow in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp, Unreal Engine or D5.

Apply this texture to geometry by mapping the displacement and normal files to achieve realistic surface depth and light interaction. The included ARM and roughness maps allow for precise control over specular highlights and surface wear. In standard 3D software, assign the albedo to the base colour slot and use the provided material files for quick integration. Ensure the UV scale is set to one metre by one metre to maintain the intended physical scale and tiling accuracy.

Ideal for architectural visualisations, this material is well-suited for exterior cladding, rustic flooring, or feature walls in residential and hospitality projects. It pairs effectively with modern industrial materials like black steel or concrete to create a balanced, textured aesthetic. Designers seeking a weathered, organic finish for barn conversions, boutique hotel interiors, or outdoor deck areas will find this texture essential for adding character and realism to their digital environments. Search for it when needing authentic, high-quality wood surfaces for exterior or interior scenes.
