Contemporary Wood and Glass Decorative Partition Screen

This contemporary timber-framed partition screen for SketchUp features a geometric glass grid and integrated spherical details. This decorative partition is composed of a rich, natural-wood frame housing three distinct rectangular panels. Each panel is filled with a varied geometric glass grid, showcasing alternating rectangular and square glazing patterns. The vertical wooden members incorporate recessed channels, accented with slender rods and spherical elements in a contrasting matte finish. The proportions are balanced, creating a sophisticated visual rhythm that allows light filtration while maintaining spatial division. The wood grain is clearly rendered, suggesting a high-quality finish suitable for detailed interior visualisations where materiality and craftsmanship are paramount.

The download is a 5.7 MB compressed archive with the textures and a ready-made SketchUp (.skp) material library, so the maps arrive already assigned to materials you can drag onto your own geometry.

To integrate this partition into your SketchUp project, import the model as a component to ensure easy replication or scaling. Use the native material editor to adjust the glass transparency and reflection settings to suit your scene's lighting environment. The wood textures are mapped to the geometry, so ensure your UV settings remain intact when resizing the unit. For optimal performance, place the partition on a dedicated layer or tag to manage visibility during the design development phase.

This versatile screen is ideal for defining zones in open-plan residential layouts, such as separating a living area from a dining space. It functions equally well in high-end office reception areas or boutique hotel lobbies where a sense of privacy is required without obstructing sightlines. Designers can use this to add texture and architectural interest to minimalist or mid-century inspired interiors. It pairs effectively with natural timber furniture, ambient floor lighting, and soft textile rugs to create a warm, inviting atmosphere.
