About this asset

This SketchUp model provides a diverse set of glass brick textures and patterns, presented as a curated wall panel library. The collection features six distinct glass brick styles, including clear, textured, and coloured variants, arranged in horizontal bands within a simple wooden frame. The patterns range from smooth, translucent blocks to highly refractive, geometric facets and opaque, dark-tinted surfaces. One prominent row showcases a vibrant teal tone, providing a sharp contrast to the surrounding neutral white and clear glass options. The entire assembly serves as a visual reference for architectural glazing, demonstrating how different surface treatments and light transmissions affect the overall aesthetic of a partition wall or decorative feature.

The download is a 64.6 MB compressed archive with the textures and a ready-made SketchUp (.skp) material library, so the maps arrive already assigned to materials you can drag onto your own geometry.

To use this set in SketchUp, simply explode the model or use the eyedropper tool to sample the materials directly from the faces. Each texture is mapped for immediate application onto custom geometry, allowing for quick iteration during the design development phase. Professionals can easily replace the default textures in the material editor to adjust transparency, reflection, and bump values to match specific project requirements. The clean geometry ensures that mapping remains consistent even when applied to irregular or non-planar surfaces.

These glass brick textures are ideal for conceptualising partitions, feature walls, or light-diffusing facades in both residential and commercial projects. They work effectively in bathroom designs, lobby reception areas, or retail store interiors where privacy and natural light penetration are key considerations. Architects and interior designers will find this resource invaluable during the early stages of material selection, when defining the mood and light quality of a space. Pair these finishes with minimalist framing systems to emphasise the industrial or contemporary aesthetic of the glass blocks.
