About this asset

Zwartkops Raceway Sunset is a 2K equirectangular HDRI environment map capturing a clear, low-sun track setting for realistic lighting. This HDRI captures a wide, panoramic view of a professional racetrack during the sunset hour. The scene features a high-contrast lighting setup, with a low, warm sun casting long, dramatic shadows across the dark asphalt circuit. The composition includes the track surface, white perimeter walls with signage, and surrounding grassy verge, set against a clear, expansive blue sky. The lighting provides a strong directional light source, ideal for achieving naturalistic highlights and realistic shadow fall-off in exterior architectural or product visualisations. The equirectangular format ensures seamless 360-degree coverage for global illumination.

The download is a 6.1 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this map, load the.hdr file into your renderer's environment or background slot. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene's primary light source for consistent highlights. Because this is a high-dynamic-range image, ensure your exposure and white balance settings are tuned to capture the contrast between the warm sun and the cooler, shadowed areas of the asphalt to maintain visual fidelity in your final render.

This environment map is ideal for exterior automotive visualisations, industrial facility renders, or landscape architecture projects requiring a specific, authentic outdoor atmosphere. It pairs effectively with high-performance vehicle models or industrial equipment set against a tarmac backdrop. Professionals searching for realistic racetrack lighting, asphalt environment textures, or late-afternoon outdoor lighting conditions will find this asset essential for setting the mood in complex scenes. It is particularly useful during the visualisation phase for establishing accurate shadow directions and ambient light colour temperatures.
