About this asset

This equirectangular HDR environment map provides soft afternoon lighting over a white Dutch colonial church and garden. The environment map captures the exterior of a traditional white church building featuring neoclassical columns and a prominent bell tower. The scene is set within a landscaped garden environment, characterized by expansive green lawns, mature trees, and paved walkways. In the foreground, a dark asphalt surface provides a neutral base for the composition. The lighting conditions are soft and diffused, typical of an afternoon with partly cloudy skies, ensuring balanced shadows and natural illumination that avoids harsh, high-contrast highlights, making it suitable for a variety of architectural visualization projects.

The download is a 6.2 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To integrate this asset, load the.hdr file into the environment or world lighting slot of your preferred 3D rendering engine. The equirectangular projection ensures seamless 360-degree coverage. Adjust the exposure and rotation parameters to align the sun position with your scene's primary light sources. Because the map offers a full spherical range, it provides consistent ambient lighting and realistic reflections on glass or metallic surfaces, effectively grounding your 3D models within a natural, well-composed exterior setting.

This HDRI is ideal for architectural exterior renders, site planning presentations, and landscape design visualizations. Its colonial aesthetic and tranquil garden surroundings complement traditional or heritage-style building projects. Professionals searching for daylight exterior environments will find this useful for high-quality, realistic background plates and global illumination. It pairs well with other historical building assets or as a backdrop for residential development schemes, providing a professional, ready-to-use lighting solution for projects requiring a serene, daytime atmosphere in a public or religious building context.
