About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map provides realistic exterior lighting for 3D scenes, featuring a vibrant canopy of umbrellas. This 360-degree environment map captures a pedestrian square in a European-style town during clear daylight. The primary visual feature is an extensive overhead installation of multicolour umbrellas suspended in a dense, playful canopy. Below, the ground is composed of textured stone paving, flanked by classical building facades with retail storefronts and manicured spherical trees. The lighting profile is soft and diffuse, typical of a bright afternoon, casting gentle shadows across the ground plane while maintaining high visibility of the architectural details and the colourful overhead display.

The download is a 6.2 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this HDRI in a rendering engine, load the file into the environment slot of your software's world lighting settings. Because the image is equirectangular, it will map seamlessly onto a spherical projection, providing both 360-degree background visuals and high-dynamic-range light information for reflections and global illumination. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene's specific lighting requirements and tune the intensity to balance the ambient light with any additional artificial light sources added to your project.

Ideal for architectural visualisations, this environment map serves as a backdrop for exterior renderings of urban spaces, public squares, or retail developments. It is well-suited for projects requiring a lively, cheerful atmosphere, such as festival planning or urban renewal concepts. Professionals can use this asset to quickly ground a 3D model in a realistic context, pairing it with street furniture, outdoor seating, or pedestrian assets. It is a versatile choice for designers looking to inject colour and human-scale interest into otherwise neutral exterior scenes.
