About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map captures a wooden balcony at sunset, providing realistic soft lighting for 3D renders. The environment map features a wide, elevated wooden deck framed by timber structures and railings. It offers a panoramic view across a lush, forested valley during the golden hour. The sky is partially clouded, creating a soft, diffused light quality that avoids harsh shadows. This perspective includes a portion of a corrugated metal roof and the natural textures of timber planks, providing a balanced backdrop for exterior architectural visualization. The composition is designed to integrate seamlessly into 3D environments, capturing the ambient light and natural colour palette of a secluded hilltop setting.

The download is a 6.2 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Load this.hdr file into your renderer's environment or world lighting slot to establish global illumination and reflections. Adjust the exposure and rotation settings within your software to align the sunset light source with your scene's primary orientation. Because this map provides full 360-degree coverage, it is effective for both exterior shots and interior views looking out through windows or glass doors, ensuring consistent lighting and realistic reflections on surfaces like glass, water, or polished materials.
