Sundowner Deck Terrace HDRI Environment Map

This equirectangular HDRI environment map provides realistic afternoon lighting for interior or exterior scenes in 3D software. The environment map captures a covered timber terrace featuring a dark-stained wood floor and a complex overhead beam structure. The space is furnished with multiple dining tables and slatted chairs, creating a natural, relaxed atmosphere. Beyond the perimeter of the deck, an open landscape transitions into a distant ocean horizon, providing a clear, bright background. The lighting is characteristic of a warm afternoon, casting soft shadows and providing balanced illumination across the scene. This map is ideal for exterior visualisations that require a cohesive, naturalistic setting with integrated furniture and structural depth.

The download is a 6.8 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Load this.hdr file directly into the environment or world lighting slot of your preferred rendering engine. Adjust the rotation to align the sunlight with your scene's primary light source and use the exposure settings to control the intensity of the illumination. Because the file is equirectangular, it provides seamless 360-degree coverage for reflections on glass, metal, or polished surfaces, ensuring that the background and lighting remain consistent across every camera angle in your project.

This asset is suited for hospitality projects, such as seaside cafes, restaurant terraces, or residential deck designs. It works well when paired with outdoor furniture collections, helping to ground objects in a realistic environment without needing to model the entire surrounding landscape. Professionals looking for warm, atmospheric lighting will find this useful for afternoon scenes where a natural transition between covered and open spaces is required. It is a versatile choice for architectural visualisations focused on leisure, relaxation, and outdoor living spaces.
