About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map captures a rural straw roll field at sunset, providing soft natural lighting for 3D scenes. The environment map depicts a wide, open agricultural landscape during the golden hour. A paved asphalt road cuts through the foreground, leading the eye towards a horizon lined with dense tree belts. The middle ground features expansive harvested fields scattered with straw rolls under a vast, partly cloudy sky. The lighting is low-contrast and warm, characteristic of late afternoon transitions. The composition offers a balanced perspective suitable for exterior architectural visualisations, providing realistic ambient light reflections and a naturalistic backdrop for projects requiring a serene, pastoral, or semi-rural setting.

The download is a 6.2 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Load this.hdr file directly into your rendering engine's environment or world lighting slot to establish global illumination and reflections. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your primary light source for consistent shadows. Because this is an equirectangular projection, it maps seamlessly onto a spherical dome. Use the file to drive indirect lighting, ensuring your materials react accurately to the warm, diffuse light present in the captured sunset scene.

This asset is ideal for exterior visualisations of residential projects, landscape architecture, or rural developments. It works well for site-specific renderings where a natural, open-field context is required. Professionals often use such environments to provide realistic sky and ground reflections on glass facades or metallic building elements. Pair this with scatter assets for grass and agricultural crops to extend the ground plane. Search for this when creating countryside vistas, farm-to-table hospitality concepts, or suburban residential developments situated near open land.
