About this asset

Spruit Sunrise is a high-dynamic-range equirectangular environment map capturing a crisp golden morning in a rural field. This 2K equirectangular HDRI map depicts a wide-angle, panoramic view of a grassy field during a clear sunrise. The composition features soft, golden morning light diffusing through low-hanging ground mist, creating a high-contrast atmosphere. The horizon is punctuated by mature trees and a series of distant electrical pylons, adding depth and scale to the environment. The foreground shows natural textures of grass and dirt tracks, providing a realistic ground plane for 3D scenes. The sky transitions from a deep, clear blue at the zenith to a warm, glowing yellow near the horizon line.

The download is a 5.7 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To integrate this environment map, load the.hdr file into the world or environment lighting slot of your rendering engine. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene geometry to ensure shadows match the light source. Because this map provides high-dynamic-range data, it will naturally drive global illumination and reflections in your render. Lower the exposure settings within your renderer if the intensity of the sunrise produces overblown highlights, or use a tone-mapping operator to balance the light.

Ideal for exterior architectural visualisations, this environment map provides realistic natural lighting for landscape designs, rural residential projects, or agricultural site studies. It works effectively for morning-themed renders where a soft, atmospheric glow is required. Use it to provide natural reflections on glass or metal surfaces in outdoor settings. Professionals often search for this type of asset when needing a consistent, high-quality light source for daylight exterior scenes, particularly those set in pastoral or open-field environments during the early hours.
