About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map provides realistic midday lighting and a coastal beach background for architectural visualisations. The environment captures a bright, clear-sky day at a coastal beach, featuring a wide expanse of light-coloured sand in the foreground and a line of Mediterranean vegetation including pine trees against the horizon. The lighting is dominated by a high-positioned sun, creating crisp, sharp-edged shadows and a high-contrast dynamic range suitable for exterior architectural scenes. The panorama provides full 360-degree coverage, with distant mountains and a clear, deep blue sky ensuring consistent reflections and natural illumination across all angles of a 3D model placed within the virtual space.

The download is a 5.9 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Users should load this.hdr file into the environment or world lighting slot of their chosen rendering engine. The equirectangular projection maps directly onto the spherical background, providing both the background plate and the primary light source for the scene. For optimal results, align the sun position within the HDRI with any physical light sources in the scene to ensure shadows match the background plate, adjusting the exposure settings to maintain the desired balance between highlights and ambient fill.

This HDRI is ideal for exterior renderings of coastal residential projects, luxury holiday resorts, or outdoor leisure facilities. It pairs effectively with scenes requiring natural sunlight and high-contrast environments, such as pool decks, beach houses, or landscaped gardens. Professionals looking for realistic lighting for Mediterranean-style architecture will find this asset useful for achieving authentic daylight conditions. It is a reliable choice for architectural competition entries, client presentation boards, and marketing visuals where a bright, summery atmosphere is required to sell the project vision.
