About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map provides realistic morning interior lighting for architectural visualisation projects. This 2K HDR environment map captures the interior of a modest, empty residential space. The scene features light-toned tiled flooring with decorative border accents and neutral beige wall finishes. Natural light streams through an open timber door and clear-glazed windows, casting soft, mid-contrast shadows across the room. A ceiling fan is visible in the centre of the frame, while a glimpse of an adjacent kitchen area with wooden cabinetry is included in the panorama. The perspective provides a balanced, neutral base for testing materials and interior lighting setups within a standard living space.

The download is a 5.7 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Load this.hdr file directly into the environment or background slot of your chosen rendering engine, such as V-Ray, Corona, or Cycles. Ensure the mapping is set to spherical or environment projection to maintain correct orientation. Adjust the exposure or intensity values to suit your specific scene requirements, and rotate the map on the Z-axis to align the light source with your architectural openings for accurate shadow casting and realistic ambient illumination.

Ideal for residential interior design visualisations, this environment map serves as a reliable light source for testing furniture layouts, material finishes, and lighting designs in empty rooms. It is particularly effective for early-stage conceptual renders where a neutral, sunlit atmosphere is required. Professionals often use this type of asset to quickly establish a naturalistic lighting baseline before adding artificial lights, making it a versatile tool for architects and interior designers working on house renovations or new-build residential projects.
