Shanghai Riverside Concrete Promenade HDRI Environment Map

This Shanghai Riverside HDRI environment map provides realistic sunrise lighting and a clear urban background for 3D renderings. The environment map captures a wide-angle, equirectangular view of a vast, paved concrete promenade situated along a riverfront. The scene is illuminated by the soft, directional light of a clear sunrise, which casts long, subtle shadows across the textured ground plane. In the distance, the faint silhouette of the Shanghai skyline and a bridge structure provide context without overpowering the primary subject. The ground features large-scale, segmented concrete paving patterns that anchor the perspective, creating a neutral, high-quality base for architectural visualization projects requiring an expansive, open-air setting.

The download is a 6.1 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Load this high-dynamic-range image into the environment slot of any major rendering engine to establish global illumination and ambient lighting. The equirectangular projection ensures seamless 360-degree coverage, making it ideal for background plates or reflection maps. Adjust the exposure and rotation parameters within your software to align the sun position with your 3D model, ensuring the soft morning light and shadow directions remain physically accurate and consistent with the scene's composition.

This asset is essential for exterior architectural visualizations, particularly for projects located in dense urban or waterfront environments. It works effectively for high-end residential, commercial, or landscape design presentations where a clean, professional backdrop is required. Architects and visualizers can utilize the clear morning light to highlight material textures and building silhouettes. Search for this file when developing daylight studies or final presentation renders that demand a realistic, atmospheric sense of place in a modern city setting.
