About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map provides realistic daylighting for architectural renders, featuring a sunny rooftop parking scene. The environment captures a wide-angle, 360-degree view of a modern concrete rooftop parking area during a clear, bright day. The architecture is characterized by a curved, low-profile building structure with industrial metal louvres and large glass windows. The ground plane consists of exposed aggregate concrete with painted white parking lines and subtle drainage details. The lighting is dominated by a high-angle sun, casting crisp, defined shadows and providing a balanced, neutral colour temperature suitable for exterior visualizations. The scene is clean, unobstructed, and provides a neutral backdrop for automotive or architectural exterior focus.

The download is a 5.9 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To utilize this HDRI, load the file into your renderer's environment or background slot. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene’s primary light source for consistent shadows and highlights. The equirectangular format ensures seamless mapping across the sky dome. Due to the high dynamic range, it is recommended to adjust the exposure settings within your software to capture the full contrast between the bright sky and the shaded areas of the concrete surface.

This environment is ideal for automotive rendering, commercial architectural visualization, and urban design projects where a realistic, neutral exterior backdrop is required. It works effectively for mid-day scenes in hospitality or retail developments, providing accurate reflections on glass and metallic surfaces. Professionals often search for this type of asset when needing a clean, professional-grade parking lot setting that avoids cluttered urban surroundings, allowing the primary subject to remain the focus of the render while maintaining authentic lighting and ambient occlusion values.
