About this asset

Rocky Ridge Pure Sky is an equirectangular HDRI environment map featuring a serene sunrise with soft, partly cloudy blue skies. This HDRI environment map captures a tranquil morning atmosphere, defined by a palette of cool blues, soft whites, and a warm yellow glow at the horizon. The composition offers a clear, unobstructed view of the sky, characterized by wispy, high-altitude clouds that diffuse the sunlight. The lighting is balanced and natural, providing a neutral starting point for exterior or interior renders. Its equirectangular projection ensures seamless integration into 3D scenes, allowing for accurate reflection and ambient lighting that mimics a calm, early-morning environment without distracting landscape features or ground-level clutter.

The download is a 4.7 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To utilize this HDRI, load the file into the environment lighting slot of your rendering engine, such as V-Ray, Corona, or Octane. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene requirements and modify the intensity to suit your exposure settings. Because the map provides a high-dynamic-range light source, it will automatically generate realistic ambient occlusion and soft reflections on materials. Ensure your project gamma is set correctly to maintain the original contrast and colour fidelity of the sky.

This environment map is suited for architectural visualisations requiring a clean, morning light setup, particularly for residential and hospitality projects. It serves well as a background for exterior facade studies or as an ambient light source for interior scenes where a soft, serene atmosphere is desired. Use this asset when you need to avoid complex background geometry while maintaining high-quality, physically accurate lighting. It pairs effectively with modern building designs and minimalist landscapes, providing a professional, distraction-free backdrop for your project portfolio.
