About this asset

This HDRI environment map provides realistic morning lighting for architectural exterior renders, featuring a coastal mountain road. This high-dynamic-range environment map captures a sweeping, tight curve on a mountain road overlooking a seaside town. The composition includes the textured grey asphalt of the road, rugged rocky embankments, and wild scrub vegetation. The sky is clear and bright, consistent with a morning sun position, casting distinct shadows and providing high-contrast illumination. The panoramic capture encompasses the entire horizon, ensuring seamless reflections and natural light distribution across 3D scenes. It is ideal for establishing a sense of place in architectural visualisations that require a realistic, elevated outdoor setting.

The download is a 6.6 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Load this file into the environment slot of your preferred rendering engine to establish global illumination and background reflections. Because the file is an equirectangular projection, it will map automatically to the sky dome. Adjust the intensity and rotation settings within your render software to align the sun position with your model's primary light sources. Using this map ensures consistent, physically accurate lighting and high-quality reflections on materials like glass or polished metal surfaces throughout your scene.

This asset is suited for exterior architectural visualisations, automotive renders, and landscape design projects where a realistic, elevated coastal backdrop is required. It pairs effectively with modern residential or hospitality projects situated in hillside or vacation-style locations. Professionals searching for natural lighting solutions for outdoor scenes, panoramic environment maps, or coastal road backgrounds will find this file highly versatile. It is particularly useful for establishing context in early concept renderings or final presentation imagery where natural, high-contrast sunlight is essential for realism.
