About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map captures a soft sunrise over a grassy hilltop and lake for realistic 3D lighting. The HDR environment map features a panoramic view of a rugged, grassy landscape at sunrise. The foreground consists of textured stone and dry, low-lying vegetation, transitioning into a vast, open horizon dominated by a calm lake. The lighting is characterized by the low-angle warmth of the rising sun, which casts soft, long shadows across the terrain and creates a subtle gradient in the clear sky. This high-dynamic-range file captures the full exposure range, ensuring realistic illumination for architectural visualizations that require natural, golden-hour light conditions in a remote, rural setting.

The download is a 5.8 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To integrate this environment map, load the.hdr file into the background or environment slot of your rendering engine. Adjust the rotation to align the sun with your project's primary light direction for consistent shadows. Because the file is high-dynamic-range, it will automatically provide both the ambient illumination and the direct light source, eliminating the need for additional directional lights in many scenarios. Ensure your gamma settings are correctly mapped to preserve the light intensity and contrast.

This asset is ideal for exterior architectural visualisations requiring a natural, serene backdrop. It pairs effectively with residential projects situated in rural or mountainous landscapes, where a soft, early-morning atmosphere is desired. Professionals looking for realistic lighting for site-specific renderings will find this map useful for establishing a clear, warm mood. It is particularly effective for projects that feature large windows or open-plan designs where the environment is visible from within, providing a cohesive, high-quality exterior context for your scene.
