About this asset

Qwantani Noon is a high-dynamic-range equirectangular environment map featuring a bright, clear midday sky over a rugged hilltop. This HDRI environment map captures a wide-angle, panoramic view of a dry, grassy landscape at peak daylight. The scene is dominated by warm, textured earth tones of dried vegetation and rocky foreground elements, contrasted against a deep, clear blue sky. The sun is positioned high, casting sharp, distinct shadows and creating bright, natural highlights across the horizon. The composition provides a realistic, unclipped lighting environment suitable for exterior rendering, offering a wide field of vision that encompasses both the immediate terrain and distant water features under a bright, cloudless sun.

The download is a 5.5 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this HDRI, load the file into the environment or background slot of your rendering engine's world lighting settings. Because it is an equirectangular image, the software will map it onto a sphere surrounding your 3D scene. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your project's specific lighting requirements. For optimal results, ensure your exposure settings are calibrated to account for the high-dynamic-range data, allowing the bright sun to cast realistic shadows and contribute to the overall global illumination.

This environment map is ideal for exterior architectural visualisations, landscape design presentations, and site analysis renders where a natural, rural, or hilltop setting is required. It pairs well with projects situated in open, arid, or semi-arid environments. Professionals working on residential developments, hospitality resorts, or large-scale master planning will find this useful for achieving consistent, high-contrast sunlight and deep shadows. It is particularly effective for grounding buildings in a realistic, wide-open landscape context, providing both a high-quality backdrop and primary scene illumination.
