About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map provides realistic sunrise lighting for 3D scenes, featuring a grassy hilltop landscape. The Qwantani Dawn HDRI captures a soft, early morning atmosphere over an expansive, elevated grassy landscape. The panorama includes rocky foreground textures, rolling dry grasslands, and a distant lake reflecting the cool, muted tones of the pre-sunrise sky. The lighting profile is low-contrast and diffuse, characteristic of the minutes just before the sun breaks the horizon. This environment map provides a naturalistic 360-degree backdrop, ensuring consistent ambient light and soft, subtle shadows for exterior architectural visualisations that require a serene, open-field setting with distant, mountainous horizons.

The download is a 5.8 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To utilise this HDRI in a rendering engine, load the.hdr file into the world or environment lighting slot of your software. Adjust the intensity and rotation to align the sun position with your scene geometry. Because this map contains high dynamic range data, it will accurately influence global illumination and reflections on materials. Use the 2K resolution for distant backgrounds or as a primary light source when a soft, natural morning sky is required for architectural exterior renders.

This environment map is ideal for exterior residential visualisations, landscape architecture projects, and rural development master planning. It works well with projects requiring a natural, unbuilt context, such as remote holiday homes, hillside retreats, or parkland developments. Professionals should search for this asset when needing a soft, neutral morning light for early-stage conceptual renders or final presentation imagery where a calm, expansive horizon is desired to complement the building form without overwhelming the architectural design.
