About this asset

This sunrise HDRI environment map provides soft, natural lighting with a warm horizon glow and cool ambient tones for 3D renders. Captured at a quarry, this environment map features a soft, low-contrast sunrise. The sky displays a subtle gradient of cool blue transitioning into a warm, yellowish horizon glow, punctuated by thin, wispy clouds. The ground plane is neutral and uniform, making it ideal for scenes where the focus is on the object rather than the surrounding terrain. The lighting profile is diffuse and gentle, avoiding harsh shadows or high-intensity highlights, which allows for natural, realistic integration of 3D assets. It provides a balanced, clean backdrop that maintains consistent illumination across diverse architectural and product visualizations.

The download is a 4.1 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Load this.hdr file into your renderer's environment or world lighting slot to establish global illumination. Due to its neutral, low-contrast nature, it serves as an excellent base for secondary light sources or as a standalone ambient light provider. Adjust the rotation to align the horizon glow with your primary camera angle, and fine-tune the exposure within your rendering engine to match the desired time of day. This map works well with standard physical cameras and PBR material workflows.

This HDRI is well-suited for architectural exterior renders, product design, and automotive visualization where a soft, non-distracting background is required. It pairs effectively with modern or minimalist design projects that demand clean, natural light. Professionals searching for 'soft sunrise lighting', 'neutral environment maps', or 'diffuse sky domes' will find this asset useful for achieving realistic, high-quality lighting setups without complex manual light placement. It is particularly effective for early morning scenes or projects requiring a calm, tranquil atmosphere in residential or landscape architectural settings.
