About this asset

This 2K equirectangular HDRI environment map provides realistic natural lighting for architectural renders of an urban street. Captured in an Italian urban setting, this environment map features a stone-paved sidewalk bordered by historic buildings and low stone retaining walls. The scene includes architectural elements like curved building facades, staircases, and street-level greenery, creating a authentic Mediterranean atmosphere. The lighting is soft and natural, characteristic of a clear morning, which casts gentle shadows and provides balanced illumination. This HDR file ensures consistent, high-dynamic-range lighting conditions for 3D scenes, capturing the ambient colours and textures of an authentic southern European cityscape with precise detail in the highlights and shadows.

The download is a 6.5 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this HDRI, load the file into the environment slot of your rendering engine's world or dome light settings. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene's primary light sources. Since this is an equirectangular map, it will automatically project as a full 360-degree background, providing both indirect diffuse lighting and sharp, realistic reflections on metallic or glass surfaces within your project without needing additional point lights.

Ideal for architectural visualisations, this environment map suits exterior residential or urban design projects requiring a Mediterranean backdrop. It integrates seamlessly into scenes featuring outdoor spaces, street-level perspectives, or courtyard designs. Professionals can use this asset to quickly establish a consistent daytime mood in V-Ray, Corona, or Octane renders. It pairs well with projects exploring historic urban renewal, boutique hospitality, or mixed-use developments where a sense of place and authentic natural lighting is essential for high-quality, realistic presentation.
