About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map captures a bright, clear midday sky over an open grassy field for realistic scene lighting. The environment map provides a high-dynamic-range, 360-degree panorama of an expansive, verdant meadow under a cloudless, vibrant blue sky. Distant clusters of mature trees frame the horizon, creating a natural, soft boundary that adds depth to the scene. The lighting profile is characteristic of a high-noon sun, delivering intense, direct overhead illumination that casts sharp, high-contrast shadows. This asset is ideal for projects requiring consistent, bright outdoor daylight, offering a clean, neutral base that integrates seamlessly into diverse architectural visualisations and landscape design renderings.

The download is a 6.1 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Load this.hdr file directly into the environment slot of your preferred 3D rendering engine. The equirectangular projection ensures correct mapping across the spherical horizon. Users should adjust the exposure value (EV) within their render settings to match the specific brightness requirements of their project. For optimal results, rotate the map to align the sun position with the desired shadow casting direction, and consider using it as the primary light source for balanced, realistic global illumination.

This HDRI is well-suited for exterior residential visualisations, park design proposals, and landscape architecture projects requiring bright, natural daylight. It pairs effectively with grass assets, outdoor furniture, and contemporary building facades that benefit from high-contrast, sun-drenched environments. Professionals often search for this type of file when needing to place architectural models in rural, suburban, or open greenfield settings. It provides a reliable, high-quality backdrop for daylight studies and client presentations where a clear, sunny atmosphere is essential for visual impact.
