About this asset

Noga is a 2K equirectangular HDRI environment map capturing a crisp, high-contrast sunrise over a dry veld landscape. This high-dynamic-range environment map features a clear, open veld landscape bathed in the warm, directional light of a rising sun. The panorama includes rolling hills, sparse shrubbery, and dry, textured ground typical of an arid bushveld setting. The lighting profile is defined by long, soft shadows and a cool, deep blue sky that contrasts with the golden warmth of the sun peaking over the horizon. The composition provides a natural, authentic backdrop for exterior visualisations, offering a balanced exposure that maintains detail in both the bright highlights and the darker, shadowed foreground areas.

The download is a 6.5 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this HDRI, load the file into the environment or world lighting slot of your rendering engine. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene's primary light source for consistent shadows. Since this map contains high-dynamic-range data, you can use it as the primary light source to drive global illumination and reflections, ensuring accurate light contribution and realistic highlights on your 3D assets without requiring additional artificial light sources in the scene.

This environment map is ideal for exterior architectural renders, landscape design visualisations, and outdoor product placement where a natural, rural aesthetic is required. It pairs effectively with desert or savannah-themed vegetation and rustic building materials like stone or weathered timber. Professionals searching for a realistic, high-contrast sunlit backdrop for residential or hospitality projects will find this asset useful for establishing a clear morning mood, especially when rendering wide-angle shots that require a seamless, 360-degree horizon and consistent, natural lighting conditions.
