About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map features the soft, warm light of a sunrise within a traditional Japanese garden setting. Captured in a serene Japanese garden, this environment map depicts a gravel path winding through lush, verdant foliage and mature trees. The composition includes characteristic elements such as low-profile bamboo fencing and rugged, natural stone formations that define the garden's layout. The lighting is captured during the early morning, providing a gentle, low-contrast illumination that avoids harsh shadows. This soft, natural light is ideal for creating realistic, atmospheric outdoor renders, accurately reflecting the delicate interplay between morning sun and the dense, textured greenery of a well-maintained garden space.

The download is a 7.1 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Load this high-dynamic-range image into your 3D software's world or environment lighting slot to serve as both the primary light source and the background plate. Because the file captures a full 360-degree range of light, it will naturally influence the reflections and global illumination of your scene objects. Adjust the exposure and rotation parameters within your render engine to align the sun position with your architectural model, ensuring consistent shadows and highlights across your exterior visualisations.

This environment is well-suited for architectural visualisations of residential projects, boutique hotels, or wellness facilities that incorporate traditional landscaping or zen-inspired courtyards. It provides a credible backdrop for exterior renders where a peaceful, natural atmosphere is required. Professionals will find this asset useful for site-specific studies, early design concept presentations, or high-end marketing imagery where the integration of building structures with lush, manicured nature is essential for conveying a sense of tranquillity and connection to the outdoors.
