About this asset

This 2K morning sky HDRI environment map provides realistic, high-dynamic-range image-based lighting for exterior architectural renders. Captured during the early hours, this HDRI environment map features a clear blue sky with soft, directional sunlight illuminating an open rural landscape. The panoramic capture includes a grassy field, distant tree lines, and a natural horizon, ensuring accurate light distribution and consistent reflections for 3D objects. The dynamic range is balanced to support both subtle shadows and bright highlights, making it suitable for exterior scenes that require a natural, morning-time atmosphere. The inclusion of reference spheres in the preview demonstrates how the environment interacts with diffuse, reflective, and glossy surfaces within a virtual scene.

The download is a 9.6 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this asset, load the file into your renderer's environment or world lighting slot. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene's architectural orientation. Because the map contains high-dynamic-range data, it functions as the primary light source, eliminating the need for complex artificial rigs. Ensure your color management settings are configured for linear workflows to maintain the integrity of the light intensity and the accuracy of the reflections on your materials.

This environment map is ideal for exterior architectural visualisations, particularly for residential projects set in rural or semi-rural locations. It pairs well with natural building materials such as timber, stone, and glass, providing a crisp, clean light quality that enhances architectural form. Professionals can use this for early-stage design presentations or final marketing imagery where a soft, tranquil morning mood is required. It is a versatile choice for any project needing a reliable, realistic sky background with authentic, soft-contrast morning illumination.
