About this asset

This 2K HDRI environment map captures a crisp morning sky over a field, providing realistic image-based lighting for 3D renders. The environment map features a low-angle sun positioned near the horizon, typical of early morning conditions. The sky transitions from a soft, warm golden glow near the sun to a cool, hazy blue across the zenith. The foreground shows a flat, grassy landscape, providing natural ground reflections and horizon lines for architectural visualisations. The high-dynamic-range data includes clear highlights and soft, diffused shadows, ensuring consistent illumination across complex 3D scenes. This map is balanced to provide natural contrast, avoiding artificial colour casts while maintaining the atmospheric depth of a real-world morning capture.

The download is an 8.9 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To integrate this map, load the file into the primary environment slot of your rendering engine's world or dome light settings. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene's composition. Because the file contains native high-dynamic-range data, it will automatically drive both the primary illumination and the reflections on glossy or metallic surfaces. For optimal results, ensure your project exposure settings are calibrated to account for the high luminance values of the sun disc.

This HDRI is suited for exterior architectural visualisations, particularly for projects set in rural or landscape environments. It pairs well with suburban residential designs, timber-clad structures, or open-plan designs that rely on natural morning light. Professionals use this asset to establish a cohesive lighting mood, avoiding the need for complex multi-light setups. It is ideal for concept renders, site-specific studies, and final marketing imagery where a soft, authentic dawn or early morning atmosphere is required to ground the building in its context.
