About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map provides a realistic night scene of a golf field under a clear, starry sky. Captured at night, this 2K HDR environment map features a wide, open golf course landscape under a clear, expansive sky defined by the Milky Way. The horizon line is populated by silhouetted tree lines and subtle, warm-toned artificial lights emanating from distant clubhouse structures. The ground plane consists of dark, textured turf, providing a low-contrast base that anchors the scene. Because the lighting is derived from natural starlight and sparse peripheral illumination, the overall aesthetic is moody and atmospheric, suitable for exterior architectural visualisations requiring a quiet, authentic nocturnal environment.

The download is a 6.4 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To utilise this HDRI, load the file into the environment or background slot of your preferred rendering engine. Adjust the exposure or intensity multiplier to balance the ambient starlight against your scene's artificial light sources. Since the file is formatted as an equirectangular projection, it will map seamlessly onto a spherical dome or skybox, ensuring accurate reflections and soft, non-directional global illumination across your project's materials and surfaces.

This environment is ideal for exterior night visualisations, particularly for luxury residential, hospitality, or golf resort projects. It works effectively when paired with warm, interior light spilling from building windows or exterior landscape path lighting. Professionals searching for night-time skyboxes, starry field environments, or natural nocturnal lighting setups will find this asset versatile for dusk or late-night renderings. It provides a credible, unclipped backdrop that avoids the harshness of artificial studio-lit night scenes, grounding the project in a realistic, serene setting.
