About this asset

Monte Scherbelino is a 2K equirectangular HDRI environment map providing soft, natural daylight for architectural visualization renders. This HDRI captures a panoramic view from a grassy hilltop, featuring a prominent summit cross and natural terrain. The composition includes scattered stone elements, low-lying shrubs, and mature trees, set against a bright, partly cloudy sky. The lighting profile is diffuse and soft, consistent with daytime conditions, offering balanced exposure across the full 360-degree range. The terrain transitions from foreground patches of grass and earth to a distant, hazy horizon, providing a realistic sense of scale and elevation for outdoor scenes that require a natural, unconstrained background environment.

The download is a 6.3 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To integrate this environment map, load the.hdr file into the background or environment slot of your rendering engine. Adjust the rotation to align the light source with your project's primary light direction to ensure consistent shadows. Since this is an equirectangular projection, it will map seamlessly onto a spherical environment, providing both ambient lighting and high-quality reflections for reflective surfaces in your scene. Use the exposure and gamma settings within your software to fine-tune the intensity of the illumination.

This environment is ideal for exterior architectural visualisations, landscape design projects, and site-context studies where a natural, rural backdrop is required. It pairs effectively with site-specific 3D models of public monuments, memorial structures, or residential projects situated in elevated, semi-rural locations. Professionals searching for naturalistic daylighting, outdoor environment maps, or hilltop panoramas will find this asset versatile for establishing accurate global illumination in daylight scenes, particularly for projects requiring a soft, expansive, and authentic outdoor atmosphere.
