About this asset

Klippad Dawn 1 is a 2K equirectangular HDRI environment map featuring soft sunrise lighting over a rocky, arid valley landscape. This HDRI environment map captures a panoramic view of a rugged, rocky hilltop at dawn. The scene is defined by large, weathered stone formations in the foreground, transitioning into an expansive, arid valley with sparse desert vegetation. The sky is partly cloudy, displaying the soft, low-contrast illumination typical of early morning. The colour palette is dominated by earthy browns, muted greys, and pale blue sky tones, providing a naturalistic, atmospheric backdrop for architectural visualisations. The lighting profile offers a warm, directional glow that is suitable for creating soft shadows and realistic ambient occlusion.

The download is a 6 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Professionals can load this 2K.hdr file directly into the environment or background slot of any industry-standard rendering engine. It serves as a comprehensive light source, providing both the visual backdrop and the spherical illumination data required for realistic reflections and global lighting. Users should adjust the exposure and rotation settings within their software to align the sun position with their scene geometry, ensuring that the warm, low-angle light matches the desired composition and project context.

This environment map is ideal for exterior visualisations of projects located in arid, desert, or rugged natural settings. It is particularly effective for residential or hospitality designs that integrate with the landscape, such as remote retreats or villas. Architects and visualisers can use this asset to establish a serene, early-morning atmosphere in their renderings. It pairs well with modern, minimalist structures that contrast against natural, unrefined terrain, helping to ground 3D models within a believable, high-quality photographic context during the concept or presentation stage.
