About this asset

This 2K equirectangular HDRI map captures a clear, rural harvested field environment, providing natural lighting for outdoor 3D scenes. The environment features an expansive, harvested agricultural field with textured, dry soil and remnants of crop stubble. A distant treeline breaks the horizon, set against a vast, clear blue sky with a high-position sun. The lighting is bright and direct, casting soft, natural shadows across the foreground terrain. This panorama provides a neutral, realistic base for outdoor renders, offering a wide, unobstructed view that integrates well with landscape-focused architectural visualizations or exterior product displays where a natural, open-air setting is required to ground the subject matter within a believable rural context.

The download is a 6.1 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Load this.hdr file into the environment or background slot of your rendering engine’s lighting setup. Because it is an equirectangular projection, it will map seamlessly onto a spherical dome. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your model's primary light sources for consistent shadow direction. For optimal results, use the HDRI as the primary light source for global illumination, and consider adding a secondary sun light object if sharper, more defined shadows are needed for specific project requirements.

This environment is ideal for landscape architecture projects, rural residential developments, or exterior site visualizations requiring a natural, open setting. It works effectively for daylight scenes, providing a realistic sky and ground plane that reflects onto building glazing and materials. Professionals looking for agricultural, farm, or countryside backdrops will find this useful for site-in-context studies. It pairs well with outdoor furniture, agricultural machinery, or rural building designs, providing an authentic, unadorned backdrop that maintains focus on the primary architectural or product elements in the scene.
