Hansaplatz Urban Night Plaza HDRI Environment Map

Hansaplatz is a 2K equirectangular HDRI environment map featuring a clear urban night plaza with warm street lighting and shopfronts. This high-dynamic-range image captures an expansive European-style urban plaza at night. The scene is dominated by a paved square surrounded by multi-storey residential and commercial architecture with illuminated ground-floor shopfronts. The lighting is defined by warm, artificial street lamps that create distinct pools of light and long shadows across the ground plane. Bare trees provide vertical interest, while the background architecture maintains a consistent, detailed scale. The file offers a balanced exposure range, suitable for realistic night-time illumination, providing both soft ambient light and sharp, warm highlights for reflective surfaces within a 3D scene.

The download is a 6.5 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To utilize this file, load the.hdr map into the environment or background slot of your chosen rendering engine, such as V-Ray, Corona, or Octane. Adjust the exposure and rotation settings to align the primary light sources, specifically the warm street lamps, with your scene geometry. Because this map contains high-dynamic-range data, it will effectively drive global illumination and provide crisp reflections on glass, metal, or polished stone materials, significantly reducing the need for extensive manual light placement in exterior night shots.
