About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map provides clear morning lighting and realistic reflections for architectural visualization. The environment map captures a high-dynamic-range panoramic view from a pedestrian bridge overlooking a classic brick warehouse district in Hamburg. The scene features dense, multi-story industrial masonry buildings lining a central canal, with the bridge structure framing the foreground in dark timber and steel. The lighting is characteristic of a clear morning, offering soft directional sunlight that creates gentle shadows and crisp, naturalistic reflections on the water surface below. This asset provides a comprehensive 360-degree backdrop, ensuring consistent environmental lighting and background fidelity for exterior architectural renders.

The download is a 6 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Professionals can load this HDR file directly into the world environment slot of any major rendering engine, such as V-Ray, Corona, or Octane. It functions as both the primary light source and the background reflection map. Users should adjust the exposure and rotation settings within the render engine to align the sun position with the project's orientation, ensuring that shadows and global illumination accurately match the scene's requirement for a bright, morning-lit urban context.

This HDRI is suited for exterior architectural visualization projects, particularly those involving urban planning, waterfront developments, or industrial heritage restoration. It pairs effectively with scenes requiring a realistic, historic European city backdrop, such as residential apartment blocks or commercial office conversions. Architects and visualizers searching for high-quality, authentic urban lighting will find this useful for site-specific context studies, daylight analysis, and final presentation renders where clean morning light and detailed architectural reflections are essential for achieving a professional finish.
