About this asset

Gamrig is an equirectangular HDRI environment map featuring a rocky landscape under a morning sky with warm highlights. This HDRI map captures a panoramic view of a rugged, elevated rocky landscape surrounded by scattered trees and shrubs. The lighting profile reflects a crisp morning atmosphere with a partly cloudy sky, providing high-contrast illumination. The scene includes detailed textures of weathered stone surfaces and natural foliage, offering a balanced distribution of warm sunlight and cool, soft shadows. The equirectangular projection ensures seamless 360-degree coverage, suitable for realistic global illumination in 3D rendering engines that require accurate ambient light data for naturalistic outdoor scenes and complex environmental reflections.

The download is a 6.2 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To integrate this environment map, load the file into the primary environment or background lighting slot of your preferred 3D rendering software. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your model's required lighting direction. Since the file provides high-dynamic-range data, you can fine-tune the exposure and white balance to match your scene's specific camera settings. For optimal results, ensure the mapping mode is set to spherical or equirectangular to maintain the integrity of the horizon line.

This environment is ideal for architectural visualisations, landscape design projects, and outdoor product renders that require authentic natural lighting. It works effectively for scenes featuring stone structures, mountain trails, or rural hospitality developments where a realistic, high-contrast daylight setup is necessary. Professionals can use this map to establish a consistent light source for exterior shots, ensuring that shadows and reflections on materials like glass or polished stone correlate accurately with the surrounding natural environment portrayed in the 360-degree background.
