Forest Slope Morning HDRI Environment Map

This equirectangular HDRI environment map provides soft morning forest lighting, featuring dappled sunlight through pine trees. The environment map captures a tranquil forest slope during the morning hours, characterized by soft, low-contrast illumination. Visible elements include dense pine tree clusters, moss-covered ground, and weathered rock formations. The lighting distribution is naturalistic, reflecting the dappled sun filtering through a high canopy. This 2K resolution file provides a full 360-degree spherical field of view, ideal for creating realistic background environments and global illumination in architectural visualizations. The colour palette is dominated by earthy browns, forest greens, and muted grey stone tones, maintaining a balanced, neutral light profile for scene integration.

The download is a 7.2 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To implement this HDRI, load the file into the environment slot of your rendering engine's world settings. Adjust the rotation to align the dappled light sources with your primary scene focal point. Because this map contains low-contrast natural lighting, it serves effectively as a primary light source for exterior scenes or as a background plate for interior shots requiring soft, ambient woodland reflections. Ensure your camera exposure is set to accommodate the natural dynamic range of the captured morning light.
