About this asset

This winter forest grove HDRI environment map provides soft sunrise lighting for architectural visualisations in 2K resolution. This equirectangular environment map captures a quiet winter forest grove at sunrise. The composition features a dense stand of leafless deciduous trees set against a pale, clear morning sky. The ground is covered in a textured layer of fallen leaves and sparse winter vegetation. The lighting is low-contrast and diffuse, characteristic of early dawn, with cool blue tones dominating the shadows and a faint warm glow emanating from the sun positioned low on the horizon. This map provides a natural, balanced ambient light for exterior scenes requiring a tranquil, seasonal atmosphere.

The download is a 7.3 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To integrate this environment map, load the.hdr file into the environment or background slot of your rendering engine. Adjust the rotation to align the sun's position with your scene's primary light source. Because this map contains high dynamic range data, it will accurately influence global illumination, reflections, and shadows. For optimal results, use it in conjunction with a physical sun light object if you need to sharpen the shadows cast by the low-angled morning sun.

This asset is suited for exterior residential projects, landscape design visualisations, and environmental background plates where a natural, cool-toned woodland setting is required. It pairs effectively with seasonal architectural concepts, such as winter garden designs or rural retreats. Professionals often search for this type of file when needing realistic, soft-light ambient conditions for dusk or dawn scenes. It functions well as both a background environment for camera views and as a primary light source for complex 3D exterior renders.
