About this asset

This Farm Field HDRI environment map provides realistic, diffuse midday lighting for exterior architectural visualisations. This equirectangular environment map captures a wide, open agricultural landscape during a partly cloudy day. The scene features long, parallel rows of small crops planted in rich, brown soil, extending toward a distant tree line and rolling hills. The sky is dominated by soft, diffuse cloud cover, which ensures low-contrast, natural ambient light across the entire field. This lighting setup is ideal for achieving balanced illumination in 3D renders, as it avoids harsh, high-contrast shadows while maintaining the subtle, organic textures of the earth and sparse vegetation present in the original capture.

The download is a 6.2 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Designed for seamless integration, this 2K HDR file can be loaded directly into the environment slot of any major rendering engine. Professionals should map this to a spherical environment node to control the background and global illumination simultaneously. By adjusting the rotation of the map, users can align the diffuse sunlight with project-specific shadows. The file provides a consistent lighting base that pairs well with additional light sources when more defined highlights or directional shadows are required in the scene.

This asset is essential for landscape architects and visualisers working on residential, agricultural, or rural development projects. It serves as an effective backdrop and lighting source for site analysis renders and early-stage design presentations. The neutral, natural light quality works best when paired with exterior building models, site furniture, or vegetation assets that require soft, realistic environmental integration. Search for this file when needing a wide-open, rural setting that provides a balanced, overcast sky and authentic earthy ground textures for expansive site renders.
