About this asset

This 2K high-dynamic-range environment map provides realistic evening sky lighting for architectural visualisations and rendering. This HDRI capture features a clear evening sky over a rural landscape, characterized by soft, low-contrast natural light typical of dusk. The environment includes a panoramic view of open fields and a country road, providing consistent ambient illumination and realistic reflections for metallic or glossy surfaces. Supplied at 2K resolution, the map offers accurate colour temperature and light distribution, ensuring that shadows and highlights in 3D scenes align with the captured horizon. It serves as a comprehensive light source, eliminating the need for manual adjustment of directional lights or artificial fill rigs.

The download is an 8.7 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this HDRI, load the file directly into the environment slot of your preferred rendering engine. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene geometry and set the intensity multiplier to match your desired exposure levels. Because the file contains high-dynamic-range data, it will automatically generate accurate reflections on reflective materials and influence the overall scene colour palette, providing a cohesive look without additional lighting setup for exterior or open-air architectural visualisations.

Ideal for exterior architectural renders that require a serene, natural evening atmosphere, this environment map integrates well with rural residential projects or landscape design visualisations. It is particularly useful when you need to establish a specific time-of-day mood without complex lighting rigs. Professionals often pair this asset with vegetation and terrain models to achieve a realistic sense of place. Search for this file when looking for dusk lighting, panoramic sky backgrounds, or countryside environment maps for high-quality exterior 3D scenes.
