About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map features a warm, high-contrast lakeside park scene with earthy ground and clear sky. The environment captures a natural lakeside setting during a bright, clear afternoon. The foreground is dominated by exposed, compacted earth and tree roots, transitioning into a dense treeline with foliage in varying states of seasonal transition. A calm body of water stretches across the horizon, reflecting the soft, warm light from the sun. The lighting conditions are characterized by distinct, directional sunlight creating sharp shadows, providing a high-contrast dynamic range suitable for realistic exterior rendering. The composition provides a wide, immersive panorama that includes both the ground plane and the sky.

The download is a 7 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

This.hdr file is designed for use in standard 3D rendering engines as a global illumination source. Load the file into the environment slot of your renderer to provide both ambient light and background reflections. Because it contains high-dynamic-range information, you can adjust the exposure and intensity within your software to match the lighting of your specific scene. It is best used for exterior architectural visualisations where a natural, organic backdrop is required to ground the project within a realistic, sunlit setting.

This environment map is ideal for exterior architectural visualisation projects, particularly those involving residential developments, hospitality resorts, or parkland designs. It pairs well with naturalistic landscaping assets and outdoor furniture. Professionals seeking to achieve realistic sunlight and shadow behavior in their renders will find this asset useful for setting scenes in a tranquil, outdoor location. It is frequently used during the final rendering stages to establish mood and provide realistic reflections on glass and metallic surfaces within the scene.
