About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map provides realistic midday lighting for 3D scenes, featuring a dry hay field under a partly cloudy sky. Captured in a rural setting, this environment map depicts a dry, harvested hay field bordered by patches of green grass and distant tree lines. The lighting is characteristic of a bright midday, with high-positioned sun providing soft, natural fill and low-contrast shadows across the terrain. The 360-degree panorama offers a consistent horizon line with a expansive, textured sky filled with scattered white clouds. This asset is well-suited for providing ambient illumination and realistic reflections for exterior architectural visualisations, ensuring a naturalistic backdrop that blends seamlessly with ground-plane geometry in most rendering engines.

The download is a 6.3 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this map, load the.hdr file into the environment or background slot of your rendering engine. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene's primary light sources. Since this map provides a full 360-degree range, it can be used for both direct lighting and as a background plate. For optimal results, ensure the exposure is calibrated to match the intended brightness of your 3D scene, and consider using it in conjunction with a separate sun light object.

This HDRI is ideal for exterior architectural renders, landscape design visualisations, and rural residential projects where a natural, open-field setting is required. It pairs effectively with grass assets, farmhouses, and timber-clad structures. Professionals looking for naturalistic, daylight-balanced exterior lighting will find this useful for site-specific studies or rural master-planning presentations. It is commonly searched for under terms such as rural environment map, field background for 3D, natural daylight HDRI, and countryside panorama for architectural rendering and outdoor architectural scenes.
