About this asset

This 2K HDRI environment map provides realistic midday field lighting and reflections for architectural visualisation projects. Captured in an open agricultural landscape, this 2K high-dynamic-range environment map features a clear midday sky with soft cloud formations. The lighting profile is balanced and natural, suitable for exterior scenes requiring authentic ambient illumination. The map includes a full 360-degree spherical projection, ensuring consistent light distribution and realistic reflections across all surfaces in a 3D environment. It is designed to provide comprehensive global illumination, eliminating the need for complex artificial light rigs while maintaining high fidelity in both highlight intensity and shadow softness for outdoor architectural renders.

The download is a 9.4 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this HDRI, load the file into the environment slot of your chosen rendering engine, such as V-Ray, Corona, or Octane. Adjust the exposure and rotation parameters to align the sun position with your scene geometry. The map acts as both a primary light source and a reflection map, providing accurate environmental data for materials. Ensure your project settings are configured for high-dynamic-range input to take full advantage of the lighting range provided by this file.

This environment map is ideal for exterior architectural visualisations, particularly for residential projects located in rural or open settings. It pairs effectively with landscape design, agricultural buildings, and suburban housing developments where natural, daylight-driven lighting is required. Professionals often use this type of asset to establish a base lighting condition during the early stages of project development, allowing for quick iteration of materials and exterior massing without the overhead of manual light placement or custom sky systems.
